MACH 1 Singers

Here are the talented people who make the MACH 1 project a reality:

Laura Dickinson

Covering our soprano parts is Laura Dickinson, the musical director of the hit a cappella band Vybration ~ the artists formerly known as Groove 66. Regional musical theatre credits include roles from Sally Bowles to Eva Peron. Look for her debut solo album to be released early 2007.

Christine Hall

Tracking our alto parts is Christine Hall, a professional vocalist based in Los Angeles. Christine sings on film soundtracks and in studio sessions, and performs live in pop, jazz, classical, and musical theater venues. She has worked with many artists including Jon Secada, Maynard Ferguson, Lionel Hampton, Joe Williams, Diane Schuur, and Rosemary Clooney. She has been a clinician for vocal jazz festivals and workshops nationwide, and is active as a guest conductor, lecturer, and adjudicator.

Bryan Chadima

The true creative arm of the MACH 1 team, Bryan Chadima is our tenor and percussionist. He also writes our arrangements, and records and mixes the tracks in his studio. Often referred to as the “ubiquitous” Bryan Chadima, he has sung with and arranged for countless a cappella groups including Blind Man's Bluff, Chicago Voice Exchange, Gold Company, The Vantastix with Dick Van Dyke, and Vybration. Bryan also loves both classical music and interactive theater, and performs internationally with the highly acclaimed show stopper, The Three Waiters, and he is music directing Baby, It's You, a new musical scheduled to open on the big stage sometime this summer. As someone who likes to keep moving, Bryan also is the lead singer/songwriter for the L.A. based band, Critical Mass.

Mike Mendyke

MACH 1 project founder and low bass Mike Mendyke started his first vocal group in sixth grade and hasn't stopped since. Highlights include quartet Extra Cheese, international favorite Five O'Clock Shadow, and The Vantastix with Dick Van Dyke. Mike is also in charge of sales and distribution of our recordings. Mike sits on the board and is Treasurer for The Contemporary A Cappella Society of America, a wonderful resource for learning more about a cappella singing.
